What this service looks like in Lincoln

Lincoln has put on a lot of people over the past twenty years, and a good chunk of that is folks who have retired here. That shows up in what comes across my table. A lot of my Lincoln customers already have clothes they like and want to keep wearing. Sometimes those clothes fit better a few years back. Sometimes they came from a catalog or a website and showed up close but off through the waist or long in the leg. Plenty of retired folks shop that way now, and it is easy work to set right. That is most of what I do, honestly.
Lincoln is up in Placer County, same county as Rocklin, Roseville, and Loomis, so I see customers from all four out of the one shop. Around here people tend to fix what they have rather than pitch it, and they can usually feel the difference between a garment somebody rushed and one that got resewn properly. I get jeans and chinos to shorten, dress shirts brought in through the body, skirts and dresses set at the waist, suits brought down a size after somebody dropped a little weight. None of it is fancy. It is the kind of work that gets a garment back into the rotation instead of leaving it hung up and forgotten.

How It Works
Book Your Fitting
Schedule your appointment online or by phone. Bring your garment and any reference photos and we will take it from there.
Expert Fitting & Pinning
Your tailor will discuss the alterations needed, pin your garment for precision, and provide a detailed quote before any work begins.
Pick Up Your Garment
Once your alterations are complete, try on your garment in-studio to ensure a perfect fit. We do not rest until you are 100% satisfied.

This goes a lot smoother in person. Bring the garment, and if you are getting something hemmed, bring the shoes you mean to wear with it. Heel height moves where the hem should land, and a guess on that is usually wrong. I pin and mark the change on you, write down what is needed, then give you a price and a ready date before I cut a single thread. The studio is at 4004 Contralto Way in Antelope, about 14 miles south of you. Give me a call first at (209) 280-9964 so I can hold some time for your fitting. Picking up afterward takes a minute.

Quick Turnaround
Most standard alterations completed within 5–7 business days. Rush options available.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
We stand behind our work. If it's not perfect, we'll make it right — free of charge.

Alterations and repairs are all I do, all day, so the work is familiar and it gets my full attention instead of being squeezed in between other things. That helps Lincoln customers a couple of ways. You are not driving halfway across the county. And you get a proper fitting plus a straight answer. If a garment can be made to sit right on you, I will tell you how and what it runs.
If it cannot, or if the cost is more than the piece deserves, I will say that too rather than just pocketing the job. A good share of my Lincoln work comes from people who tried a chain or a quick counter and wanted the result to actually last. I would sooner send you home with one thing that fits than three that come close.

Standard Alterations in Lincoln
Standard Alterations for Lincoln Residents
Standard alterations are the plain everyday work at a tailor's bench: hemming, bringing garments in, letting them out, resetting waists, swapping failed zippers, and closing up seams that have given way. It is what keeps a piece of clothing in your closet rotation. I handle all of it for Lincoln customers out of my Antelope studio, with most everyday jobs starting around $25. The sections below run through how each kind of garment actually gets altered, so you have a sense of what to expect before you bring anything in.
One thing worth clearing up: this is an alterations and repair studio. I do not sell clothes, and I am not a quick counter that runs everything through the same setting. The clothes you bring are already yours and already nearly fit. My job is to take that nearly to right, and to do it so it survives wearing and washing instead of letting go the first time you sit down hard.
